The Purchasing Department of the City of Jonesboro is a sub-department of the Finance Department. Its goal is to obtain quality goods and services at the lowest reasonable cost, while operating at the highest standards of ethical conduct. We accomplish this through cooperative team interaction and continuous quality improvements in support of the overall goals of the Finance and Administration.
It is the policy of the City of Jonesboro that minority business enterprises shall have the maximum opportunity to participate in the city purchasing process. Therefore, the City of Jonesboro encourages all minority businesses to compete for, win and receive contracts for goods, services, and construction. The city also encourages all companies to subcontract portions of any city contract to minority business enterprises.
Joining the City's Vendor List
Any vendors who wish to be placed on the city's vendor list and receive bids when issued may do so by mailing a request on vendor's stationary requesting to be added to the current city's vendors list, stating what goods or services are supplied, and a current phone number and address.
