CDBG Micro-enterprise Business Accelerator (MBA)
CDBG Economic Development Program Micro-enterprise Business Accelerator (MBA) to undertake economic opportunities and/or job creation activities that benefit underserved area or low-and moderate-income (LMI) individuals.
A micro-enterprise is a commercial enterprise that has five (5) or fewer full-time employees, one (1) or more of which owns the enterprise at the time of application. Projects must result in the creation of at least one part-time employee job. In the case where no jobs are to be created, the employer and/owner or current employee base must be low or moderate-income person as established by CDBG.
There is a $2,500 minimum and $10,000 maximum funding request.
Proposals for the Economic Development Micro-enterprise Business Accelerator (MBA) are due no later than December 14, 2018 by 4:00 p.m.
CDBG Public Services and Public Facilities & Improvements funds are available to qualified entities.
Funding eligibility is as follow, including but not limited to:
- Must be a non-profit organization - IRS recognized 501 (c) (3)
- Organization must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM)
- Must serve an absolute verifiable minimum of 51% Low Income (Benefiting Low-and-Moderate-Income [LMI] persons)
- Must be a NEW service or quantifiable increase in the level of service
The 2019 CDBG Request For Proposal (RFP) application is available below. Proposals must be submitted no later than the deadline on January 14, 2019 by 4:00 p.m.

NOTE: The CDBG Citizen Advisory Committee will review and score each proposal submitted. Incomplete proposals will be eliminated without exceptions.
